Traffic, traffic and more traffic is every Internet Marketer’s dream. There is no point having the greatest product, idea or website if nobody sees it. So where do you start, how do you start, do I pay for it, can I get good quality free traffic. All the questions are there at the beginning of your and my traffic journey. It can make you want to stop and give up almost straight away.

Well the good news if that I have the answer for you. The bad news if that you get nothing for free in this world, but it is not all bad as the cost to you can be your time or if you like a little cash. So what is the answer to driving traffic to your sites. Well for starters you need to have a plan of action, a daily routine to start with which will begin to build the traffic streams back to your site.

So what’s in the plan what do I need to do I hear you ask… well strangely you probably already know most of the techniques, but I bet your not implementing them. I know that is the case for me. It is putting all the little techniques together, grabbing those visitors from lots of differnet places from all over the net.

Ok lets get into the nitty gritty of the techniques, lets start with forums. So how will a forum drive you trafic, well it is easy really, if you go and have a look at warrior forum you will see that there are thousands of post and hundreds and thousands of views for each thread, post etc. All you have to do is start to add value to end thread or post that takes your interest. Leave constructive replies that will leave the reader wanting to know more. So how do they find out more, well simple when you join a forum you can add you signature to the bottom of every reply you leave which then gives the reader the opportunity to click on your link and bam they is a brand new visitor to your site.

This is how your links should look when you edit them in your profile:

Just replace the bold text wilth your URL and the text you want, for example:

This will look link this once you leave a reply:

You can normally add 3 to 5 lines so you can add a few links to your signature if you wish. Now you will need to active and post lots of replies for this technique to work, but work it will if you add good content and value to each thread.

So go and find yourself a forum list from google and get to work, give yourself a set number of minutes in a day to do your forum work. I recommend at last 30 – 60 minutes a day to start with. The more you do the better results you will get.

Remember action creates reaction, the more action you take the more  of a reaction you get. If you do nothing then nothing will happen.

So you have built a blog, your foundation is up and running, so now what do you do……??? Well you start by telling your story, tell your pain, your problems. Tell people where you are and where you want to go. Be straight with people as everyone can relate to a story, but nobody will relate to hype or BS. If you have no traffic, start telling people you have no traffic and then tell people what steps you are going to make to achieve more traffic. Remember that good information alone will attract more people to your site, so don’t keep things a secret, be open and you will see the difference quickly.

So here I am at my new beginning, however I have taken action by getting myself a mentor (Alex Jeffreys). I am certainly not a complete Newbie, but having direction is huge as you can easily find yourself going down the wrong path. So what am I going to do to start building so more traffic, well to start all I am going to do is get much more active on other peoples Blogs as this will start to drive traffic back to my Blog. However I am not going to start pimping my sh*t, as this will work against what I am trying to achieve. No, I will be doing my best to add value to their Blog. This is huge as if you don’t add value, why the hell would anyone want to visit your site to find out more what you have to say. Help as many people with as much information as you can, information will give you the starting point you need to become someone they will look for in the future for more help.

So back to what I am going to do, I will be commenting on other Blogs everyday until I am fully able to attract traffic all on my own. I have given myself a daily task to comment on at least 10 different Blogs a day. This should take me around an hour a day. This time commitment however will be the building blocks to having a truly active and succesful Blog. It isn’t an instant overnight trick, but more of a long term residual way to build traffic, but attracting real genuine people with the time to read and add value to my Blog to.

I hope you can start to see the picture I am painting with this plan, and remember to be yourself becasue that will go along way to becoming an individual that gets noticed, listen to and respected.

Ok, what is a solid foundation? For me a solid foundation in terms of Internet Marketing is your starting point in your online journey. So where do you begin, well that is easy you build a Blog, and yes that is easy to. Contact me for an easy step by step guide.

But before you start to do anything make sure you have planned out what you are going to do, step by step and which day each task should be completed by, if not completed put it down for the next day and so on.

Set each task as an ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ depending how important each task is,

Now back to the Blog……

Put on your Blog this is me and this is where I am starting, this is the beginning of my adventure online so to speak. Just put something up there that is about you and what you wish to achieve, be accountable so if you say on your Blog I am going to do something you now have a reason to follow up on it. Take action……..I can’t speak more about that word ACTION without it nothing you read, buy or whatever will ever work. Don’t be afraid to get your face out there. At first I did not even what to sign an email with my name, now  you can hardly find a blog post without my mug on it. It becomes fun and to think that what I am saying can guide people in the right direction is fantastic.

Add value to the blog, W.I.I.I.F.M everyones favourite  radio station What Is In It For Me or We FM. So if a reader can take something away with him or her then you have added value to that person and I don’t just mean a free gift or something but a little tiny bit of information that makes that reader say ah ha that is how you do it. This will go along way to you becoming someone that they trust and in the end hopefully buy from.

So as your foundation starts to grow slowly but surely, you start to understand what is required to be successful, then in your Blog you can start to pass this information on. The information that is in you in valuable to other people as they as yet do not know what you know, you may only be a few steps ahead of them, but that few step can seem like giant leaps until all the fog clears. A small example, you may go and register your first domain name and set up hosting, well that is fantastic, go tell the world how you did it as there will be a tonne of people that have no clue how to do it. So tell them what you did and how you did it, which companies you used and how you found the process, then of course link to these companies with your affiliate URL and bam you have just made your first sale online.

So you have your foundations, what next, there is not point blogging if no one is going to here you. So how do you generate the traffic that is required to get a following or at least some readers. Well this is alot easier that you might think.

I all ready have posted how this is done, look at the ‘Twitter Traffic’ category and also ‘The Traffic Generation Challenge’ category as these 2 methods alone will start to work magic on your Blog. As you can link your Word Press Blog with Twitter so your followers will be notified everytime you write a new Blog post.

Leaving comments on other blogs on a regular basis will work a dream to, just be active on forums will also drive traffic as you can leave your Blog link at the bottom of every post you write in a forum. Simple little tricks like this will all start to mount up.

So to summarise, having a Blog will act as your foundation, as it grows your traffic grows because your content starts to get  listed on the Google etc and people will find it. So put down your story from start to present, just keep adding content and over just a fews weeks you will have a wealth of posts to read and hopefully information to give.

Once you start to master these basics, this is when the next level kicks in as you want to start earning more, this is when you want to start building your list and building your list should be your ultimate goal as the money is in the list.

Ok, the good news is I am going to lay down everything here so you can see exactly what I am doing to become a successful internet marketer…..
The Bad news is if you want to be successful to you are going to have to do something about it yourself. As action is required on your part.
Ok I will start at the beginning……..
Lets forget above everything I have down before as I am going to TRY and pretend I know nothing and I am starting from scratch….
First thing I did was sign up to Alex Jeffreys training program….I took action…and a little leap of faith….not a big one as I have met Alex so I new he was genuine.

Second thing I did was set my mind up to follow the program as closely as I could. Now this has good news and bad news… the good news is you don’t have to pay anything for this information, the bad news is I did, but hey ho that is life.
So where to begin I know at the start.

First thing I did was get organised, I cleaned out my home office, I through out 1 and half black bin liners full of old papers and clutter that had mounted up over time. It was a clean start and that alone was brilliant as it felt let a new beginning and this was the start point to my new online career.

Second thing I did was to organise my days, week, months and year. I put down everything I was working on and focus which was important and which wasn’t. I planned out a years worth of targets, goals and personal developments for me and my business. Don’t worry too much if you have nothing planned to do for the coming year as that will soon change once you continue to read on.

The next step for me was to build a Blog as as students of Alex Jeffreys we were told to get one set up asap. I was given an easy set up guide for free which I followed and as a result you can see I have a blog. Hey if you don’t have a Blog just drop me a line if you would like help with setting up yours. Ok so you have a Blog, it is hosted and you have a domain name. By the way try and get your name like I have Neil Marsh.com as this will help with your branding and recognition in the future, not vital though, but try. Just hope you are not called John Smith or something…..lol.

What now, what do I who hates writing put in a blog, well as I have been taught you put yourself into the Blog. It’s all about you baby….lol
It is simple when you think about it, the more about yourself you put in then the more people will relate to your story.
No one’s story is identical but everyone is trying to achieve similar financial goals, or at least to earn to extra money from the internet.
So hence this is why I have created this Blog as this is going to be my story from start to finish, well hopefully it won’t have a finish not for a long while just yet anyway.

So back to the Blog, why is a Blog important, well it is because it will give you status within your partially niche, as people who have lots of comments and thank you’s on their site will gain social proof and with that when they speak people listen.

This is coming to be my platform to all things internet, this will be my starting point, this will my traffic generating machine because when people land on it they will be given opportunities to sign up to my free offers which in turn starts building my list…..oh by the way if you didn’t know the money is in the list.

It is a general rule of thumb that a subscriber is worth about $1 a month, so building your list is very very very important. You can make a living from a list of 2000 people.

So how do you build a list? Are well that is easy to build a list you need to give things away for free. You have to give things away that people might be interested in, these things could be anything from graphics to eBook to software anything that you can give away but has value to the end user.
But you may be asking how do I do this… Firstly I was taught how to do it from Alex Jeffreys, you can get the same info I got which shows you step by step in video how exactly this can be achieved, you can get a copy of this eBook via the homepage on this site. I can not stress enough how good the information is, so if you can follow the complete series of videos and you will be in the same place as me.

I would love to be able to teach you here and now about this, but there is no way I could put it all into words, and video is such an easy way to follow instructions.

So that is where I am at currently. To summarise  I have built a Blog to show the world how I am and what I am doing, I have started building a list and form that I will earn in the long term $1 per subscriber, soon I will be taught how to earn that $1 per month from my subscribers and then I will tell you how to do it.
